Forgot to mention that we got the Harley back from the shop last week! Dana rode around by himself a few times, and to and from work, before he let me ride with him. Our first outing was fun but I remembered (too late) that Faith is not happy without the sissy bar. I tried very hard to be very Zen mentally and not move independent of Dana, while simultaneously holding onto his belt and trying not to think about falling off the back.
Yesterday, we went out to dinner, sissy bar in place, and it was great fun. Now I just need to find my deerskin gloves and fling those and a chapstick in my leather jacket, and we'll be good to go!
I perused helmets when we were picking up the bike, and found a black one with pink flames called the "Tuscadero," which I coveted equally for its feminine sensibilities and fabulous name. My helmet is brandy new, having just bought it before we garaged the bike for four years, but I'm considering having it painted. If only I knew any artists, painterly types who bellydance and are going to be at my house this weekend anyway...

I caught the broad hint...

You guys gonna add a sidecar for the DorkyDawg? And get him a helment? Or at least some goggles and a Snoopy-esque white silk scarf? :)

Scarfy snackies?
Date: 2006-05-24 02:20 pm (UTC)Our Valley Girl (her name was actually registered as Jeron's Rode of the Valkyrie, but she was a total airhead, and thus her name) had a habit of eating my mom's shoes, and most especially her good leather pumps. After six pair going the way of the dog, Mom figured the expense was worthwhile to the cause, purchased a pair of shoes of the style she usually did, soaked them in a vat of hot sauce for a day, dried them out, and then put them in her closet floor where all other shoes resided.
She later found the dog outside, rubbing her mouth on the grass, and one set of teeth marks on her sauced shoes.
Valley never chewed shoes again. :) She stuck to her bones and toys after that, of which there were ::voice="El Jefe":: a plethora. :)

I like flames. I like paint markers. I don't have the airbrush kit *yet*, though it is on it's way to me soon. What say you?
