While everything looked so nice, I snapped a couple quick photos so you have a point of reference for my planty ramblings.
This is the main bed in front of the house, to the right of the door as you approach. Against the garage (the three windows) are holly flanked with juniper, and in front of the dining room (big window) is a Japanese maple surrounded by gardenias. This bed also has silver edge lavender, azaleas, and catmint.
This is the smaller bed to the left of the front door (which I left open for some unknown reason). Against the window we have the same holly and juniper, with a crepe myrtle on the far corner, and azaleas in front. The peonies are in the front on the right.
This shot has part of the long bed that runs along the driveway (taken from the front yard looking away from the property). We wanted this one to feel like an orchard, so there are three crepe myrtles separated by two groups of four Korean dwarf lilacs. This shot has the frontmost myrtle (not as leafy as the other two just yet) and the first set of lilacs as you come up the driveway.
