Can't win for losing

faithellenIn my life, I have bought four copies of Billy Joel's Greatest Hits, vols 1 & 2. Twice on vinyl, twice on CD. All four copies have walked.
I placed an order with Overstock.com for a couple Valentines' Day gifts for Dana, and I included the Complete Collection, 1973-1997 (only $3-ish more than the other album, and two more CDs). The box arrived, and although the packing slip indicates that the entire order was shipped, there is no Billy Joel in the box.
Is it such a bad thing for me to own that the universe keeps conspiring against me?

Date: 2006-02-14 08:57 pm (UTC)I have emailed Overstock, and received an autoreply saying that I will get a response in 24 hours. 2 minutes after that, I got an email saying that the box downstairs has been shipped and I should see it soon.
I wonder if that means that the Billy Joel will arrive yesterday? Hmm...
