A while ago, someone on my flist (I want to say it was The Man Who) recommended "Ambulance Girl," and I started reading it yesterday -- am enjoying it mightily! (It turns out that the author is not unknown to me -- I own "The Encyclopedia of Bad Taste")

It was indeed. And don't forget "Population: 485," which is in the same vein, but better.

And I hardly get called by the old nickname anymore, but I still use it out of habit, once in a while.

The Sterns show up on NPR's "Splendid Table," as well. They write a lot of popular food books.
