I found a fun sweep today: Superman Returns. You have to have Google Earth, and then you follow the clues to find glowing crystals to save the earth from Lex Luthor or something. While playing, you see the Lays banner and Superman's arms, and while you *can* click those off so they don't appear, then you can't see the crystals either (I found that out the hard way). You have 10 crystals a day that can win you prizes, but you can find as many as you want. There's a one prize/person/week limit, and today I won "Adventures of Superboy: The Fourth Season". Grand prizes are trips, which is really what I'm in for (lest you think I really wanted to know about Superboy).
I'm also still holding 3 Hallmark DVDs, if any of y'all would be interested. Not the first clue what to do with them; perhaps donate them to a senior center or something. Bunch of little wins lately, which are fun, but haven't generally been anything useful. I did get my movie ticket vouchers, though, and my local Ukrop's is already sick of me and my 20 "5 2L Coke bottles for free") coupons.
Next week, we'll be at Rescue College from Wednesday to Sunday -- Dana is taking a vehicle extrication course and then an EMS leadership thingy, and I'm doing a 4-day search and rescue (must.buy.compass.). The hotel takes "small pets" (<25 lbs.), but they made an exception for Mr. Largeness, currently flopped here on the floor.
Dana's usually busy, but this week has been exceptionally so. He was on a Richmond ambulance all day yesterday for medic class, tonight he has actual classtime, tomorrow is the classroom portion of a motorcycle safety class, and then Friday we pull duty and Saturday and Sunday are the on-bike portions of the motorcycle class. We're hoping to get to
txguera's house for a cookout on Saturday night (and I have Coke coupons for you!).
I think that's about it for news. I'm sure I'll think of 12 thousand other things to say later. :)
