Here's something for you to do in your copious free time.

It's been an odd weekend, but a good one. [livejournal.com profile] pyratelady and [livejournal.com profile] mydwynter came down on Friday evening, and we had Mexican food (and Not Dr Pepper) and rehearsed and rehearsed and brainstormed. [livejournal.com profile] dfilove was on the ambulance Friday night, and extended his shift Saturday morning, so it was All Estrogen, All The Time (except for the dog, who was very excited and kept thinking that Jillian was an intriguing piece of prey, when he wasn't having me perform an emergency tickectomy).

Darcy and Jill headed home just as Dana was headed back thisaway, and he and I had a lovely calm evening punctuated by the dog being sick. I think he ate bugs or something...quite nasty.

TODAY has been all about me running to various stores for foodstuffs and pet supplies and japanese beetle deterrent, while Dana has been slaving in the kitchen over two different racks of ribs -- one Kansas City Sloppy, the other a Bourbon BBQ. They're on the smoker now, and most of the dishes from the making are done, and I have TWO HOURS of smelling the yummy gloppy smoky goodness before they'll be ready. I have a wheel of the Smelliest Muenster Ever to tide me over (which I'm happy to report is mild and tasty, completely different from the aroma).

The beginning of the week is supposed to be plagued with EEEEEEVILLY high temperatures -- please be careful, and don't overdo it out there! Stay inside with a nice tall mint julep, and let the yard go for another couple of days, mkay?
