Stinky heathen no more!
Jun. 18th, 2005 10:05 pmAfter months of reading catechism on nearly every Saturday, I am now a Catholic!! I got baptized and confirmed and received first communion all in the same Mass (and the grace conferred by our church wedding last year).
Father Adrian endeared himself further to me by struggling to change the gender of the Latin on the fly, and muttering about the bad translations for the bits that were in English. He's really a gem.
Dana and Dad and Marlene and I headed out for breakfast, and then back here for lots of talking and then LOTS of cooking. Dana's such a marvelous chef! -- porcini, onion and sage risotto, and smoked chicken breasts, with plenty of srihacha sauce on the side. I flung together some raspberries and cream for dessert, and we adjourned for the evening.
The dishes are (mostly) done, the dog is suitably tired from being fawned over for hours, and I am a little buzzed from much wine. It is a good day to go to sleep. :) Night!
