I went to the neurologist today about the numbness in the fingertips of my left hand. I'd had x-rays of the cervical spine done that showed some osteoarthritis but nothing alarming. He commended me on sussing out that the tingling is most likely due to a problem at the C8 nerve, but he suspects it might be an ulnar neuropathy. I'll have an EMG (think Scott Glenn in "The Right Stuff" with his hand clenching uncontrollably) and a cervical MRI done, and then we'll see what's what.

Um. What else. Oh! We had top soil and grass seed put down in the area of the lawn that got destroyed when they replaced our patio -- they had to dump a butt-ton of gravel on the lawn to get the trucks down there -- and the guys say we should start to see grass in another week and a half. Really nice guys, too -- we got their name from our neighbor who had the same work done in his back yard. Friendly, respond quickly to my calls, explain everything, and their prices are much better than the guy who did our overseeding last fall and mulching this spring, so I think they've got new customers. :) I love finding good conscientious people!
